Millefiori canes/rods?

What do we know about where you can get millefiori cane that is uncut? I'm thinking of cane with or without a hole. I'm familiar with what is on the Picard website and another vendor that sells some cane but they mostly sell cut millefiori marketed toward mosaic artists. I more or less know the story of old cane found in the conterie and it appears some of that is still being "worked" into beads today. But is it possible to get contemporary cane before it gets cut into millefiori slices? How about fatter cane, like perhaps a cane end? Every now and then Effetre Murano will post a picture showing all this cane, but again, it seems like what you can find through vendors is all cut up.

I just really like cane - it's some of my favorite glass in my bead collection and I'd love actual rods of some of my favorite millefiori patterns especially if it were a little on the fatter end.

This site is probably your best bet.
They also have some fairly thick rods.

Hi Cody,
there is my own experience in Africa: In my opinion they are cut when they are manufactured. When the beads are long and right, they are cut, and you can find a bead of which represents the beginning of the hole, and the other hole is cut.
When you look about elbow beads, you can see that, often, it is an entire bead and no a part of a long cane. The twice holes are the beginning of the bead (look at the picture).
I never didn't see African people to cut the millefiori beads to repair or to make two beads. Il think it's very hard to cut the glass without to see something strange. And all the beads show the same cut, also it's made in the manufactury.
I show you different elbow beads: it was made to have one bead, the beginning and the end look the same.
And the other are cut, and the cut look the same.
I don't know if I explain clearly!!

Also, for me, the elbow are very often not cut, but can to be cut. The right beads are fast always cut and you can see sometimes the beginning of the big cane on one hole of a bead.
Is it clear??? my english....euh!!!!!
