Hi ho,
These little pendants seem to be made of stone, and seem to have been quite nicely carved from single blanks. They are notably cold to the touch.
It is true that they are less bead than bead related.
I am hoping that someone can tell me if they are contemporary things being mass produced in China somewhere - or if they are the product of another time period and mode of manufacture?
The vases are about 2cm in length and about .8cm wide.
Many thanks,
LD

A fashion that seems to have started about 20 years ago, marketing translucent and/or colorless Burmese jadeite as rare and valuable.
When I first bought a piece, it was termed "water jade."

Quite a lot of it around nowadays ... and with all things jade, difficult to casually distinguish from calcite, quartz, certain glasses, or jadeite that has been bleached and polymer-impregnated.
