Collecting beach glass has been a fun passtime.

At the old dock site in Pt. Richmond, CA where the ferry used to cross the bay to SF carrying people in their cars in decades past, I could pick up a pound at a time at low tide when Colin would gather baby crabs at low tide. Then, we could take the crabs for a walk in the clear plastic bin he put them in, then bring them back and release them in the general spot where he found them. Then the beach glass went home with us!

Thanks, Thomas, for the link!

I especially love how you & Colin released the baby crabs after you took them for a walk. What a wonderful way to show how to interact with wild fauna....
