Collecting beach glass has been a fun passtime. At the old dock site in Pt. Richmond, CA where the ferry used to cross the bay to SF carrying people in their cars in decades past, I could pick up a pound at a time at low tide when Colin would gather baby crabs at low tide. Then, we could take the crabs for a walk in the clear plastic bin he put them in, then bring them back and release them in the general spot where he found them.
