I would not appraise this bead accurately from this image alone! It appears to be a newly made Mexican Onyx bead based solely on this picture, value = 50 cents max...... I hope before you attempt to give a true value, they give you plenty of images that show all angles, the perforation, approximate size and possibly some details

I thought the same thing - Mexican Onyx. But then I wondered, maybe glass?

I feel it may be plastic. And I did ask for more images of the aperture. When they arrive, I may or may not ask for your help again. We shall see. It is an odd bead and thought you may enjoyed solving the What it is ? puzzle with me.

I doubt that it is an ojime because I am very familiar with most of them.

to appraise it without letting you hold it. They need to send it to you and trust you.

It is ideal to mail beads back and forth but not cost efficient.

I have been working on an appraisal of ninety nine "ojime."
This image was added for identification at the last minute.

I've learned much from each BCN member out there in the dark...
This could be onyx, glass, agate or a number of various minerals.

If this bead could be agate, I may ask them to mail it.
But I think that some lines in this bead resemble plastic.

~Two heads are better than one -especially when there are
99 bottles of beads on the wall.

Cheers,
