I found this strand at an antique gallery. The tag says the beads are "Fimo glass". A lot of the earlier Fimo beads were made using techniques similar to Venetian trade beads, but this person seems to think this glass was inspired by Fimo techniques....??

The center bead is about 12mm, and the rest are quite small. I see amber chips, green hearts, tile beads?? except they're shiny and I've only seen matte ones before, a small version of the crumb bead from earlier threads, small Venetians...

Thank you, Carole, and yes, I love the Venetians--they're very small, which I find charming. And though it's strung on simple (silk?? cotton??) thread, it looks like someone really tried to balance the necklace's construction.
