Most of these look like recent Indian "hot strip" chevrons.

Yes, and these also appear occasionally on EBay as singles, and denoted antique or sometimes ancient. Some are etched to the extent that "worm holes" appear in the glass on the ground ends. Or maybe the holes were there as part of the manufacturing method. Someone is putting a lot of effort into artificially aging these.

But, this item is sold out so you won't have to waste any time deciding whether to buy a strand!!!
