Fantastic strand, beautiful patina and wear, I think the double diamond are a reground shape? Carl? Nice repurposed tassel, some Kiffa, I do have more Kiffa to add. I also particularly love the one Bohemian glass with silver. Ethiopia?

"Sherpa Coral" a gift from my dear Carole, bead enabler extraordinaire... Cornaline d'aleppo, I found myself in love with because of Jim Johnson, and the Denver Art Museum's American Indian exhibit. I need more...

If I remember correctly the green is Krobo? Definitely a reworked green seven. A nice black seven, a tiny green seven, a super cool large square blue seven, and a couple of faux chevron, tyre? beads. One bead on my bucket list is a large green seven egg, still hopeful. Again my long sought after ancient lapis.

Original dZi, that I acquired in Nepal 1990, strung quite excellently! Snake knot, natural coral, antique Tibetan turquoise, and gold.

Sort of out of place but i strung these old traditional Tuareg silver beads with Yemeni black coral, and a Mauritanian shell for a button clasp. The central pendant is fantastic, I wish Red would make any comments to inform me about the symbology of the triangles?

Hey Jake,
Happy to do so! The central cross looks quite fine , a closer pic would be great...
The triangle is a representation of the female, some say the form of the womb. their use here is all about fertility.
Warm wishes
Red

Sorry about the flash...... I have never been to Africa, is fertility similar to the asian fertility? Wealth, success of you family and/or farm?

Lovely beads, Jake. I'd like to see some of them up close. Also those very nice etched carnelian beads in a later post. It's a great wall, full of variety. Cheers, Will

Hi Carl, I really like the way your buddy, Roger, looked in the crown of beads and Contigo t-shirt. He reminds me of someone who may be riding on a Mardi Gras float throwing beads to the crowd. Cheers,
Frederick

I had many strands of trade beads hanging from wood hay rakes. They looked wonderful! Unfortunately during my open studio, the stoppers on the ends of the tines rotted, the strands toppled off and I lost half a dozen Hebron beads. (so very very sad face) They are now gathered up and safely filed in an old card catalog case!

Possibles... soft elk leather hip/shoulder bags with braided elk tie straps (skunk and buffalo), neck turtle bag for fetishes or medicinal. Edit to add: The most comfortably side you wear out on the turtle depends on whether you have cleavage or not (man or woman). LOL
