Hi Roizhe
Check out this website:
http://www.rikermounts.net/catalog.cgi, which sells display cases. Some can be hung directly on the wall. You might also check out the Ebay listings of mosquitobay (a fellow BCN member), here's an item number to enter in Ebay's search box (360437644218) - it shows how Jan (mosquitobay) displays and sells his beads using Riker mounts. He might have some other ideas for you. Good luck. Paul
Search golf ball display cases, and there are some nice looking cases that would work for displaying big, fat beads. The chain store Michael's has some shadow-box frames these days that could possibly be modified. If you go to flea markets and "junk-tique" types of places you'll see that old fashioned wooden tool tote boxes are sort of "in" now - the ones with wood carrying handle. I found one recently that is perfect for displaying up to 30 or more 18" necklaces, hung right off the handle. At one time i filled a towel rack in the bathroom. Nice display. But then we moved to a smaller place and I lost the display space. A current recycled item on Pinterest as well as the local antique collective is an old rake for displaying strands. I love this! Old printer's trays are sometimes made into wall display boxes and even glass topped coffee tables with beads in every compartment.
An ebay seller, piotte2006 is offering nice looking hand crafted displays for individual beads:

I build this using cedar boards and coat hangers......rustic but effective.
I thought about using shadow boxes but I'd have too many holes in my wall from hanging them :) I hate having them in drawers that need to be opened to view so I just hang some from a recycled coat rack as pictured.
I found a nice glass front and sides display case at the thrift store and it's small enough to mount to a wall. (now it sits on a table) It is about 1.5 feet tall 6 inches deep and about 13 inches across. I may get around to rigging something inside so I can have beads dangling from above the inside shelves to use up the empty space.
I also have another idea using a long 6 foot gnarly looking piece of strong oak driftwood.
Good Luck!
...does that one bead really say "Orgasm"? Tsk.
[laughing]
I uses towel rod supports and an oak dowel rod that I rounded the ends of and stained. Here is a picture from before it got all loaded down. I would recommend a 1 inch (25 mm) rod. The 3/4 inch one shown here started to bow after a while.
