Hi. Need some help identifying these beads. They were sold as stone & old, although I thought maybe that wasn't the case. Perhaps newly manufactured trade beads, although the small seed bead rings separating them remind me of some extremely old trade bead necklaces I've purchased in the past. The seed bead rings look to be legitimately old to me, so that made me curious. Any thoughts or information on these would be appreciated! Thanks, Lynne

I think the large beads are from India, no older than 1980's

Did the seller told you the area where they were collected?
Nigeria? Togo?

I guess I should have paid attention to my intuition. Oh well, and now I have to go and pay for them. ugh. I'll have to get myself to the flea market & do a weekend someday soon to sell. Thanks for everyone's help in confirming my stupidity in purchasing! Lynne

My first chevron beads........from India.
We've all done it, and will all continue to learn from our mistakes. And these Indian beads you have are one of the nicer beads coming from India, I think.
