I’ve just learned that Leo Hakola has passed away. He was a legendary 3rd generation bead trader, and Rosanna, Stefany and I had the great pleasure of meeting him and shopping from his immense stash in Tucson, 2016. Please scroll through the attached link for images and memories. Gratitude.

Here's a pic from the 2016 visit that Joyce mentioned.

Leo was a colorful character and a great lover of beads. Besides market strands, his room at the HoJo's in Tucson featured a lot of interesting old combinations that he had strung himself. My wallet was always a lot lighter after visiting his stash.
