Well, these are AAA beads: ancient, in flawless but expected weathered condition and of good size (with 17 mm for the center one's diameter).
My story with banded agate beads is a longlasting one, after falling in love at first sight for a necklace in Srinagar -- and purchasing it --on my first trip to India...53 years ago: those were the days, my friends.
Back in Spain since 1984, a spontaneous small collection went steadly growing. The last-but-not-least specimens are still under my care, of which these are an example.*

Now, this necklace's design is perhaps as understated as is uncommon: after the failure of many candidate-beads (gold, silver, wood, stones...) all of them diverting the attention towards their petty selves, the suleimani are strung here with tiny ringlets made out of a rusty iron wire.
Tibetans (well known for being bhaisajyaguru beads lovers) do regard iron as Heaven-sent, using it for amulets since who knows when. And rust is on many iron surfaces as hummus on the soil, or wrinkles on a wise old woman face!

I am attaching two more pics of the same project, the photos slightly improved.

See attached an image of the necklace purchased at Srinagar in 1971 as previously mentionned.
Although its configuration has changed several times (i.e.,Venetian millefiore were added for a while to "enliven" it) what you can see here are the 46 agate beads I got then.
There is one curiosity here: the only one specimen of ancient bhaisajya guru guru bead (3 holed) I have met.
Even if I had once rejected with contempt a blank cheque offered by an Arab sheik who saw it in Bombay, minds are mobile qual piuma al vento, and a collector owned it from 1985 to early XXI century-- till he gentlemanly accepted my request of trading these particular beads for another similar strand of suleimani (!). Confiteor.

See one of the configurations the same set of beads had long time ago.
The small beads are silver.
The ivory skull is Tibetan, from an antique mala.
The pendant, found in Kashmir, was made of a pair of male musk deer fangs, set in silver, with a small turquoise.

Many res derelicta used in this lego-like jungly demi-god, are kept in place with magnets.
The necklace's pendant is a fox skull--a bead is a bead is a bead-- that a visiting friend found deep inside a mountain cave, in the property I purchased in 1986, after my last trip from India (which alas!, I never suspected would be single way).

The expression seems to be one of surprise - what is s/he looking at?

Who knows? Perhaps not looking, just seeing!

Moreover there is not much to see there!
I mean: not a wide panorama. Although a good writer could of course be able to weave interesting stories, one for each potted plant...

I'm also a fan of using blackened or distressed iron beads. Not all beads or findings need to "glitter". The more subtle colors and finishes are very elegant, as shown wonderfully by your design! Chapeau!
