I guess most of the bead folks are reading and posting on other sites...well anyway, for those that are left, I'll post a few of my "finds" from Tucson. Joyce and I had a great time checking out the usual places for collectible beads. Crowds have picked up since last year - a good sign for the sellers. Tucson is still a great place to go digging for buried treasures. We found some overlooked items in unexpected spots and a few bargains (those are getting MUCH harder to find!).

Anyway here goes -

Fancy red & aqua elbows and rare aqua French Cross

Fancy yellow elbows with black & white mille eyes, combined with small a speo striped rounds (my first pass at a necklace combo).

A speo beads are from Thomas Stricker's Prescott Trading Post and Bead Museum - we visited there before heading to Tucson.

An extra long strand of green chevrons arranged nicely with some interesting accent beads.

A strand of brown Czech ovals with mille eyes, with presumed Czech beads with a Japanese or Chinese theme. Does the writing say anything or is it just decorative?

Cobalt base, fancy elbows and a strand of mixed "dogbones". Both unusual finds!

Contemporary glass work from Venice - from the Glory of Beads sale in Green Valley, AZ.

Large black pendant from the SUV (Scogliamiglio Umberto Veneziana) which has closed down recently. This company was making bead and other items from glass and cane saved from the 1940s.

Two beads I'll make into a pendant, from a contemporary Venetian glass artist - I forgot to write down the name.
