If I'm not badly mistaken, today is Joyce's birthday!

Happy Birthday and thanks once again for keeping the BCN "flame" alive, despite all odds!

This picture is of recently made beads from the Venetian workshop, Scogliamiglio Umberto Veneziana aka the "SUV". This bead maker uses glass and cane saved from the 1940s, so many SUV beads can be mistaken for their near relations from 75+ years ago (or so). These I bought last year. They were made by Salvatore Sito, current owner of SUV, and were intended for collectors. As Rosanna wrote, Salvatore makes beads with the old canes of his grandfather.
