Thanks for all the hard work keeping BCN running in spite of all the difficulties over the last two decades! To help commemorate the occasion - here are some of my latest "wearable collectibles" strands. Lime green-themed beads from the SUV company, Venice. They make new beads from a 1940s era cane stockpile. Vintage back & white Moretti beads, found in a bead pile at a recent show. Lesson from my bead mentor - Joyce - always check down to the very bottom of every bead bin!

Teal green elbows with matching teal / blue dot Venetians. Not sure if the plain elbows are Venetian or Czech, but they do seem to have used the exact same glass as the rounds - maybe from the same glass works such as Effetre. A mixture of rare Venetians - seems I got involved with a lot of green color themes lately.

20 years is a huge achievement Joyce and bead collector.net is appreciated by so many people worldwide. I personally have learned a lot over the years, it doesn't seem like 20 years does it?

Thanks so much, Joyce. I've been coming here on and off for 14 years and this site has been enormously important to me. First of all, for the sheer pleasure; then for the archive; but especially for the people, sometimes passionate and prickly, but almost invariably kind and patient when I have asked for help and information. So... thanks to all of them also, the community that you, Joyce, made. I don't collect beads much any more, but I still talk to the ones I already have. And occasionally something comes along that I have to get. This is the latest - the beautiful Phoenician I've been waiting for for years. Regards to all, Will

Congrats Joyce and other forumers for the 20th anniversary ! It's great to be back after years because of back pain so I stayed far from computers...better now and again spending hours reading archives! Realized really your anniversary typing 6000 days in search request instead of 3000! Will be back soon with questions~😊😉

Thank you to all of the longstanding, hardworking, dedicated and enthusiastic contributors, especially the Forum's "OG's of Beads!" (we know who you are), lol, for sharing their ongoing knowledge, opinions, and updated research with the rest of us that love beads and want to know the latest information, marvel over the latest bead beauty, as well as help to dispel longstanding misinformation that has been disseminated and repeated verbally and in literature. Sorry for that sentence.... ha Beads and their personal significance have been a timeless expression of our beliefs, hope for protection, life symbols & hallmarks, and also enjoyment & expression of personal beauty, wealth, and more. I love that this forum promotes all things Beads- from Ancient to more Modern examples. I would love to see a more updated, more Cyber-Secure Bead Collector site that could be easier to search. I'm hoping future solutions are forthcoming by the more Tech-Savy in the Group. Thank you All for your mentorship, and for the friendly help and for being an evolving knowledge based resource for the Bead Community, including not only the Rare and Ancient, but the new and interesting. Cheers, and Thanks to all I've met here- very much appreciated and I'm looking forward to the future! Anne Heck.
