Crazy "Crumb" beads

I'Ve never seen these before and wondered if they are really Venetian as the seller claims. The clasp is marked Japan.

Looks like someone went nuts using up a pile of leftover drawn cane pieces...and they don't look too terribly comfortable to wear; also they probably would snag on sweaters and many fabrics.

Possibly, but I’m not planning to buy them to find out. Description says glass.

If the appliques were a bit more-well-fused, and somewhat manipulated, I would be inclined to call this "scrabble glass."

Your description is apt. These are not "crumbs" of glass. They are small fragments of mosaic-glass components or elements..
