I'm very intrigued by this Chevron bead. I do believe it to be Venetian, but couldn't find another like it in Picard's Chevron book.
1st layer has 24 pts, 2nd and 3rd 12 pts, 4th layer in unmolded and 5th layer has 18 pts.

Any information and comments are welcome.

Thank you!

Hello Matt,

I don't recognize your bead specifically.

My only suggestion is that it MIGHT be a bead made by this guy at Venice, who specializes in small-batch chevron beads, made to order. I have not tracked down his name, but I've heard his story a few times.

The beads I'm showing here were made by him for my friend Jody in Petaluma, who operates Legendary Beads in Santa Rosa. I bought them in 2005 (I think)—and she had had them made a few years earlier.

Maybe Nicole could make a suggestion. I don’t think I ever brought my beads from Jody to Tucson to show them to her. Jamey, I’ve sent you a private message.
