A couple of beautiful ancients from the Eastern Mediterranean. I've been having fun-with-photography over the last few days. Circa 800 - 1100. Beads measure between 13 and 14 mm in diameter. Happy Thanksgiving to all the bead lovers in U.S. (and best wishes to the rest of you as well!)

Here's another one I've been working on -- a faience bead from the Warring States period of China. Bead measures about the size of a United States quarter.
