Interesting Shell Beads

All -- I picked up these really interesting Shell beads from an estate auction a couple of weeks ago. They were listed as "Pre-Columbian" and possibly "Huari" and dated to 700 - 1000 C.E. Honestly, these beads are a little outside my area of expertise, but they are awfully neat. Any ideas about whether that's the correct attribution?

Thanks!

A couple of more from the same auction. I don't particularly know where they are from, but they are awfully cute!

Yes, it could be bird feathers. Funny, that really doesn't show up so well to the naked eye, but the camera really brings it out. Fortunately, these particular beads were in a private collection for many years before they ended up with me, but I always worry about that too!
