Rosanna and I both have been on separate 'bead research trips' through Europe, and are meeting up in Jablonec, Czech Republic, right now to join forces.

One of the many international 'bead meets' that BCN makes possible!

So, this is Rosanna at the museum archive, and me at an antique shop.

Edit: No idea why one picture came out so much bigger.......

This is one of the main antique/vintage/junk bead shops in the Jablonec Region. It looks pretty fancy on the outside, but inside there is so much stuff crammed in, you will never be able to see it all!

The first one must be one of the most fascinating bead cards I have ever seen. It is in the archive of the bead museum, and appears to commemorate an anniversary. The piece is made up of all these ceramic beads, many of which are made to mimick certain trade beads.

The second is a small box with one pound of seed beads that I got to take home. It is still closed, but was intended to be shipped to Mr Sulemanji in Bombay. I have yet to date this one. The beads that are inside are the same as the small bunch on top (or so the seller told me).
