With Kirk you may need hand gestures or baby talk to get the point across

Market name for tabular long oval curved beads, meant for bracelets

Have seen bracelets with 4 such beads and simple (8mm or so) beads in between.

I suggest, for a very simple finished item, attaching one to a stretchy metal watchband to make a bead "watch". I have 3 of these with various tabulars, Rosanna has done them too.

This is one of Matt's:

I have been collecting these with no effort into assembling them! Does this make me a hoarder of this type?

Were elbows and surfboards meant for bracelets? When?

Fred, Sybelle Jargstorf's books may shed some clarification, but mine are lost in storage at this time. "Glass Beads From Europe", I believe, shows the "surfboards" and I'm quite sure they are 1920s items. The elbow shape predates those, but how many years, I don't know - and they are a more versatile shape than the tabular "surfboards". Five or seven elbows, matching, make great focals for a short necklace.
