Two superb beads from across the pond..from David and Gabriel. The rolled-pad mosaic fascinates me especially, as it combines a hint of the famous Roman "wave" motif along with a very Islamic-looking pattern of blue and white eyes. The pattern just glows when you view the bead from the inside. Amazing colors on both beads and the condition isn't bad either. I suppose the rolled-pad bead is early(100AD??), the perforation and construction being rather distinctive for the period....Enjoy! Steve

Very pretty! And Steve, your fingers are model material - I am jealous with my dry snaggly fingertips...do you use Dove or Palmolive?
