But where are any of these for sale? I have seen few of them sold anywhere. I thought when I received the book the beads were from a contest or exhibition.
The pictures on facebook were taken last friday at the inauguration of an exhibit on the bead collection of the Murano Glass Museum, whose catalogue was recently published by Augusto Panini (The World in a Bead).
The 1000 sq.metres exhibit is devoted to part of the collection, with a section dedicated to 27 living beadmakers in Murano. In the pictures below, the entrance of the exhibit with Effetre canes and glass lumps.

The exhibit will be open until 15 april 2018. It's really worth a visit. In the pictures: Augusto Panini with Gianni Moretti, from Ercole Moretti & F.lli, and part of the visitors present to the inauguration
two of the works of living Venetian beadmakers on exhibit. "Catena di fuoco" (fire chain) by Luisa Convento (Gioia), rings of seed beads; "Medusa" by Laura Salvadore Mantoan (Murano Glass Company), gold foil with silk and copper mount.

This would be such a delight to see in person. Augusto Panini's book, which also serves as catalog for the collection and exhibit, is absolutely beautiful and provides much history.
And I am one of the lucky few that will get to see it in person. New Years's day I leave for Venice.
The museum will certainly be on my list! (the timing of my trip with the exhibit is no coincidence....)
