My comment was meant to be tongue-in-cheek

Cultural appropriation indeed. I'm now far too intimidated to dare to wear some of my beadwork. Outrageous ! I'm getting quite nervous about the contents of room I'm sitting in...Japanese prints, Chinese vase, Oriental rug...Previously I had no idea I was guilty.

I am truly that naive... is it photoshop? or did Ms. Streisand do a photo shoot with African beadwork?

Here we see an earlier photo of Barbara Joan Streisand before she became Barbra.

at the top draped over her head is a netted beadwork pendant necklace with diamond shaped motifs that definitely isn't from Kenya.
my question is - i still have a few necklaces just like this- various colour ways- and bought a whole bunch years ago for my shop -told they were made in Morocco. Otherwise i've seen very similar ones from Afghanistan and from Pakistan, etc so would appreciate more evidence that will indicate their design tradition and where they were made.
mine have the slightly irregular embroidery beads such as made in France. They are on cotton thread, but i've seen similar from elsewhere on fishing line.
