this Watchmakers cabinet has 2 stackable units with 2 drawers each, the drawers are both large and small compartments in each unit. Very handy.

As you can see the compartments are rounded and the beads sit in these rounded grooves quite nice.

Do an eBay search for Spool cabinet and you will find similar types, again all prices and sizes, some incredible antique ones also!
These differ from the Watchmaker variety in that the usually have long grooves that are not compartmentalized.

Hi Thomas, We have a large watchmaker cabinet that we use for our bead keep. Every time we open & close a drawer we cause nearly a hundred beads to collide with something, be it another beads or the side of the compartment. So we have been using ziploc bags in conjuncture.

Great looking cabinet! I use plain old fashioned cotton at times to prevent beads from rollong or coliding.

The compartments used with the zip lock bag! Beads knocking against each other could break very easily!

Not only is this old dental cabinet a great piece of furniture but the drawers are plentiful and spacious. These drawers allow me to lay out triangle Kiffa beads and sort them according to types etc.

the nice thing about deeper drawers is that one can insert dividers of many types, here I shoa trays with compartments that house varying types of smaller round Kiffa beads.

Thank you for the kind words, I have but one of the many collections featured here, many just blow me away! We're always glad to see unfamiliar names posting as this means the word of the forum is spreading. There are a few friendly rivalries between us show-offs! Put on your seat belts, I heard through the grapevine the Carl is about to launch an attack of pandemic proportions, I hope you like Powder Glass Beads! He will create Mayhem! :) and me with no ammo today!

Hi Thomas, NOW I'm jealous! I've been shopping for a wooden dental cabinet for years. But to house my antique dental instrument collection! Twice, I thought I had one, but karma ran over my dogma and I'm left with plastic floss divider boxes instead!
If you see a spare cabinet, please let me know.
Thanks for the peek at your collection too!
Jeff

Gorgeous! Both would be quite welcome here! I had found one here in Florida (missing the top section) for $400, but we never managed to hook up.
With my father downsizing his antique furniture collection, I've recently aquired several beauties. A Federal sofa, an Eastlake sleigh bed, hall tree and secretary/desk, and a marble top camode stand. But no dental cabinet! (Space is becoming precious as well). Time to go house hunting for something a bit bigger!
Thanks Thomas!

Thanks to Joyce for pointing out my local craigslist freebe section I was able to just pick up this 5 shelf unit for free! (amoung many other items, thanks Joyce!) At this time I am only using the top three shelves as little fingers can be curious. As you can see on the top shelf are the invaluable ice trays for quick access to beads.

Unfortunately, I had to come off of some money for the color coordinated mini plastic shelves from target for $3 each and they actually are pretty handy too!
