Sometimes it is difficult to find a way to wear/display a favourite bead -- a way to wear or display it that does not lessen its protagonism, it is.
This torque may be an elegant one:
A gold ribbon, wrapped over a 5 mm thick aluminum rod open at the back; easy to string on it any pendant with a large enough suspension loop. A bead with a large hole would also look nice!

I have used silver and gold neck wires to attempt the same effect, but they look too "skimpy" with large or heavy beads & pendants. The more substantial wrapped rod is perfect for the task! Congratulations on this artistic / technical achievement, which I will copy at my earliest opportunity!

Exactly - it is tricky to show a single favourite bead. What you did here looks rather nice, since it gives the "magical" Morfia enough room to breath!

Still - unless the bead were chipped at either end - I would not cover top or bottom. No problem for most other beads to do so, but in this specific case I would not.

Don't get me wrong: It is fine as it is!

I have to agree with you on this point.

My husband said, "oh, wow" when he saw your necklace. We both think it is a great idea and so nice looking!
