Just came into possession of this.
Wondering if it is old or new and what is a proper name for it.
It's 22mm wide and 8mm thick

Any and all opinions appreciated.

No expert but this looks like a newly made "OLD BEAD"

The common name here is Goat's eye bead or a more properly Lumik in Tibetan language. Luk Mik (Goat's Eye) or Ta Mik (Horse Eye) from Garuda website

You are correct its new I found out its glass after looking at it through a high power loop.

I was emailed by a member who questioned if it was stone.
I pulled out my high power loop and took a close look and can see air bubbles inside its glass.
Learned a lesson today thank you.
