I'm not certain if I was thinking of Queen Puabi before or after making this. I had these three carnelian beads for the longest time and the leftover "Russian Blues," and thought they would work nicely together. I wonder would she have approved of the glass beads instead of lapis. I think she most likely would have been fascinated by them, perhaps. I'm thinking she probably would've preferred gold beads between the Russian blues and the carnelians. But, on my budget, the copper works. Oh, and probably a polish would've been ordered on the carnelians.

I was certainly remembering her when I designed this necklace (already shown here years ago, but I hope new Forumites will enjoy it).
