i recently acquired this with no information-- its very light, probably hollow, not stone- 2 bits stuck back-to-back, possibly varnished and looks like the outside shells of a woodlouse-type insect or sea creature?, but -blue?
would dearly like to know more-
any suggestions?

Hi Stephany,
it is a pendant made of two shells of chitons, which are polyplacophoran mollusks having a shell formed by eight plates. I bought one identical in Dominican Republic one dozen years ago.
