I have been wearing all sorts of Afircan trade beads with no obvious notice. I have even worn one of my largest Art Seymour beads with no reaction.

Cool, in any way...!!

I am in Pawhuska Oklahoma. I have been down to Tulsa, back up to Bartlesville, over to Ponca City and Skiatook, Hominy, Perry, Fairax and many places in between. Still no notice or compliments on my beads I am wearing. The strand of Venetian pink wound beads with tailed decorations commonly called pink pineapples have not impressed. When I am home in New York State the pink pineapples most always get a compliment.

So, I am fearing my fellow Oklahomans do not care much for beads. Strange. My collecting of Venetian beads from the African Trade started in the antiques shops in Tulsa and Oklahoma City many years ago.
