BEAD SOCIETY OF ORANGE COUNTY LECTURE: All Things Turquoise

Janine Peterson has made it her life's work to learn everything she can about the treasured stone Turquoise. She will help us understand the components and intrinsic value of a stone that has been highly prized in many cultures for thousands of years. Janine may earn her living through teaching historical and environmental elementary school programs, but her true passion is turquoise.

Her many years of working as a docent at the Southwest Museum has contributed to her extensive knowledge. Janine will bring many examples from her collection and explain how the properties of these pieces are important to all things Turquoise.
