This past week I had the opportunity to buy these ten Venetian millefiori trade beads, that feature random multiple patterns of typical and unusual murrine appliques. About a year ago I showed a single similar bead, and remarked that these beads interest me because they demonstrate the variety of cane designs that were available at the time of manufacture. Something we cannot know when a bead is made using a single pattern (as is common). I will show a few closer views. Take a look, and think about the patterns you recognize, versus those you have not seen before.
