Your advice (gift) is a good one, I think. I checked Ebay and saw that such necklaces (rather recent Millefioris in small size) are offered between 25 and 90 Dollar - but rarely sold at this price, if ever!

Since I like this type myself - the older "Moretti" version, though - I have some overview on prices, what sells and what not. I cannot see a market for this specific types.
