I have been somewhat out of the loop these past four years or so (those who know me know why) - and I had not heard this: One of my local bead friends told me of an organization making new chevron beads out of "antique" venetian cane - the Howard family. I had read past BCN comments from 2009 about this group doing their own grinds from random types of cane - is it true they acquired actual antique venetian cane in 2013 as my online search is indicating? Is this true? I was confused by the "range of colors" comments - photos show boxes and boxes of blue cane. Insight please? Who can catch me up?
