...is glowing in your eyes,
the answer is glowing in your eyes! See, is the one below a different pic of my previously posted bead?
No, it is a giant black hole in the unfathomable depths of space, one that has a Sun every day for breakfast.

Hi Dannoh,
Yeah, very little activity here on BCN these days...most everyone has bugged out and is over on various FaceBook pages. I miss the "good old days"... The Howards are the people that run T&T Trading, a bead store that is online and also brick & mortar. They are collectors and sellers of old trade beads, new reproductions of trade beads, and all sorts of other beads. From their website: T & T was established over 25 years ago by Tom and Theada Howard. We are a real brick and mortar company with a warehouse and showroom in mid Michigan, near Lansing.

Thanks....So I'm assuming that if I'm selling beads that I acquired from Mister Kamol Sudthyacorn I should refer to them as beads from the Kamol collection?
And you are right......this site has changed..
Not a lot of deep investigation into beads.
Me....I don't do facebook or other sites like that.....except X Box :)
I do miss the old regular folk.
It's Gr8 to see some of us are still hanging around BCN.
Thanks for clearing the collection thing up for me.

Some people like myself are obsessive-compulsive about tracking where beads were purchased, and as you know, I have some really nice beads from the Dannoh Collection. So yeah, you can call the beads whatever you want and IMHO it adds to preserving the history of the beads to say who you got them from. Maybe it doesn't sound like the most important bead detail in the wide world of beads but I enjoy the links to the people, times and places whenever I get these details.

Please tell us where these chevrons beads were made. That's the main thing I care about.

They don't look like chevrons of the "African trade period " that Bedman spoke of..

The Howard collection was started in the last 1970's. Over 250 Lg Riker mount cases. Started my research under mentor Gerald Fenstemaker. Researching ever since. As for the Tine Beads they are Venetian. I was an importer and had Chevrons made, some Moretti in the day. Don't believe me but see the book. Chevrons and Nueva Cadiz beads. Put out by John & Ruth Picard.
Guess the now days appropriate reply is BAM.

Update Howard collection started in 1978 now over 250 Lg Riker mount cases. Researched for years starting with Gerald Fenstermaker as a mentor circa 1980's. As for the question on the authenticity of what are the "Chevrons" in the photo. I was also an importer years ago. Had beads made in Italy.
Don't believe me; but first see the book Chevron & Nueva Cadiz Beads. You may have heard of John & Ruth Picard. On page 43 strand 11 and 15.
BAM I guess the new in phrase.
