I did a consult recently, for which I could have received payment in money, but I was offered a bead, and actually got two beads.

I have been studying and randomly collecting Boshan glass beads since the late 1970s. But I have rather few jumbo specimens. So I was delighted to receive these. One is a structured millefiori bead..., and the other is also mosaic-glass, but of a type that seems more-or-less unique to Boshan glass, and is difficult to explain, apart from saying the internal pattern is ribbon glass. Both beads are slightly damaged, and have somewhat foggy exteriors that cloud the decorations. I think this is apparent in the attached photo. I will have to consider polishing them, down the road.
