You will also notice that I use the term "bottleglass" in quotations as I am not convinced that any in my collection are actually made from ground down bottles. I use quotations when I am quoting or using a questionable description. When I put quotes around Vaseline, it means I question this name but use it since all who read here may be somewhat familiar with the term. I use quotation marks around bottleglass because someone before me used this term (I believe in error) but most people reading about Kiffas would have an understanding of the bead type. I will state again that I proposed the beads in question were probably made from using re-ground Czech cores (the bulk of which fluoresce under UV light), exactly one year ago today, I propsed this idea and you responded (see link). The photo is from a glass color sample book from one of the largest manufacturers of Czech glass. Many of the glass types used by the older Kiffa makers can be compared physically with the samples I show here and many of these samples fluoresce under UV lights.
I do NOT encourage the use of "bottleglass", I do encourage Czech "Vaseline" glass. I hope this explains quotations a little better.

P.S. the manufacturer of "Vaseline" glass calls it "Rod Glass", "Stangenglas", "bagettes de verre" and "vidrio de varillas". They assign no names to glass rod types only numbers, (see pics)
