Jake did the same with this stunning ancient amber. He is so talented. Note the ancient beads near the clasp

Sorry- I don't have size on these beads. Maybe Jake will measure them and post. This breathtaking beauty is tiny though- probably less than 5cm. During a discussio with Mike on whether to photograph beads on black or white, I thought of Floorskaps photographs of beads on mirrors and I jokingly asked Mike to do that. This bead also didn't make it to the show.

I had the honor of meeting Martha, the curator of the show, and we had several bead play dates. She has a wonderful collection with unusual beads. Her kiffa strand has many wonderful beads. This is one of her kiffa beads in the exhibit. Either Martha can post her necklace or I will try to get a pix of the kiffa exihibit.

I gasped when I saw this pix on a big flat screen tv. There is a tv in the exhibit that some of the pix rotating through a cycle. It is mesmorizing. This eye bead had the honor of being enlarged and place on the gallery wall, along with several others. Rick Rotten is considering having Mike photograph some of his beads so he can hang the pix around his house. I hope I can keep this pix when the show is over. This one of those larger eye beads-maybe 3cm.

This bead didn't make it to the show because I have no idea where it is! It is pictured in Dubin's book. Originally I thought it had black feathering until I luped it. Mike took it a step further in his photograph.

We used Matt's golf ball display box to show beads with campfire names. I was certain this bead had a campfire name. I showed it to Rick and he said no. It was already in the exhibit, so we labeled it "What campfire name would you give this bead?" Rick said red pineapple. I will post a pix of the display later or maybe Martha will. We also took a smaller golf ball display box and put different millefioris in that.

I showed Martha this and asked her what she thought. We had spent hours at Jake's shop luping it. Was it an insect or glass? Martha took it to her Colrado State University friends and they put it under the microscope and verified it is a beetle that has been treated. Any thoughts on it would be appreciated.

I saw a few pieces of natural beetle / insect jewelry that a Friend was selling in galleries/shops on the East Coast back in the 1990's...mostly pins...could this be from that era? The beetles were treated with polymer and set in gold colored metal...they were a highly iridescent green color.

Matt and Rick did the chevrons as I am not a collector. Matt is super busy, hopefully he can find time to post. Couldn't resist posting this one though.

Have two of these puppies. They insisted I buy them from ebay. I thought they might be older but Matt counseled me that they are in Picard's book. They are tiny beads- less that 5 cm. This picture was enlarged and people are encouraged to find the bead and the others from the enlarged pictures

I got this one on ebay as one of those .99 deals. Wasn't enamored with it until I luped it. OMG. Then Mike photographed it. OMG. It is a tiny, tiny bead- maybe 3 cm. Any thoughts?

Looks like a Roman "berry" bead with wonderful iridescense. The one that I sold had a light covering of iridescense as well. Steve
