I haven't waded through this article, just skimmed it, but was intrigued by the radiocarbon date chart and the pictures of the beads.


"Four dates from four features are associated with the protohistoric component and these have corrected one-sigma spans that range from AD 1490 to AD 1663 (Table 1), providing the likely time frame for the glass bead assemblage."

I am supposing that most of these beads can be compared to Dutch beads from the 17th century.

Their value as "early markers" would not be as early as the parameters suggested (CE 1490 to 1663)—since they are from the end of this time.
