assembled on radiating wires... my guess is '50/60s...
these tourist items also at least a generation old, are assembled with finely-made replica "faience" tubular "mummy beads" and small ring-shaped ones resembling those found in tombs, custom-designed clasps and a profuse quantity of mediterranean coral, both long beads and branch coral.
a matching parure using modern scarab lookalikes, tiny bugles, a lot of glue, and metal,
and recent repro faience+mummy beads with wire, and metal drop shapes from stamped, folded not soldered sheet...but the bracelet pin-clasp appears custom-made for the bracelet.
And you'd be surprised who would wear them! They are all lovely and so colorful.
Thanks for showing these Stefany!
About 25 years ago I created these bracelets after noting many Egyptian beaded jewelry pieces that combined carnelian, turquoise, and lapis lazuli.
It may be difficult to do in the short term, but for anyone interested in the jewelry of ancient Egypt, I highly recommend visiting the jewelry display from Tutankhamun's tomb at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. The items may have been moved to the new museum - but I'm sure if you get to Cairo you will be able to figure it out! Pictures simply do not do the items justice IMHO.
Check out the Sundance catalog, these stones and colors are hugely popular. Yours are more "organized", though. The ones below are getting a little out-there!
