I don't associate them with lions, since the frontlegs are not protruding and suggest more they are tucked under the body. My first thought when I saw them was that they were sitting like a camel - a very proud head-, yet no long neck, no hump,- or a doe a deer, yet no horns or antlers, , so since Bactrian culture has nomadic roots I got stuck with a horse?

If only they could meow or neigh, that would make it so much easier :-)

Yo......To me they look like.....HORSES down on all fours.
I could see where a horse was a pretty valuable commodity in that culture.
Anyway....That's what I see

If you refer to the orange/red 2nd strand from the left in the first picture (some details 1) , it is coral. I don't have a detailed picture right now. If you talk about the second last picture (some details 6) it is mainly quartz from the Sahara- most probably from Mali.

I believe the long yellow discs on strand to the left are nice old Venetian glass. Don't think anyone ID'd those so was adding my 2 cents. Love those. You can see the swirling of the lamp work on them unless they are too worn. Also love the cornerless cubes- so timeless. Well, they are ALL nice! And the Quartz- always fascinating. What beautiful beads you have! As for the animals with the "ears" not sure ...can we get a peek at the "tail" and a few more close ups please!

Yes indeed , the discs are Venetian. The seller's relative collected them somewhere in the 50's in Democratic Republic of Congo. They had a bit of a rough life - the discs I mean. I'll try making some detailed pics of the 'animals in the next couple of days.
