Hey, everyone, haven't been around for a while but had to share today's haul. A few miscellaneous trade beads, 10 old Middle Eastern jet beads for $1/each, and a string of ancient blue glass for $2! Anyone have any opinions on the origin of the glass beads?

Collared glass beads were made at Taxila, India, ca. 2,000 years ago. Just a suggestion. The jet beads are often out of Afghanistan. Jamey

Interesting...I cleaned them up and there's a wide variety, a few lighter blue opaque beads with a lot of patina, some pitted, some smooth. I wouldn't be surprised if they were a variety of ages and origins. One of them is definitely lapis, not glass! One looks to have been glued (??) back together at some point.
