Hi there !
I am looking for educated forum members capable of explaining the making process of this glass bead from my collection… apparently a Chinese Tang Dynasty glass bead (ref. Simon Kwan book) the lignes in the structure of the glass suggest some kind of glass yarn rolled around a rod.. but I was wondering if somebody here would have a better understanding of this glass structure and making process. The Chinese (and others) still make long wound glass beads. What is the mystery? JDA.
