I learned a lot cutting the top of this pendant. The top had been damaged so I reshaped it a bit and polished it revealing the triangular cavity that the agate intruded. In addition I discovered that the black color is from copper oxide in the agate meaning the agate intruded a copper vein. You can see the small dendrites leaching out of the black silicated copper into the lighter colored agate. The raised eye is because the area around the eye was not as silicified and wore away during the weathering process. Many more of these fascinating agates to come. 4 mm hole.

Although sliced-and-polished agates are beautiful, I love the organic feel of this approach even more. Nice work!
