Early to mid 1900s.

Rarity is a tough call but the two largest in the first picture and the three largest in the second, are uncommon for sure.

Your friend can search around antique Venetian trade beads on sites like eBay to get a feel for how often the same beads can be spotted.

She should save all of them since they are very collectible!
