Hello to the group.

I would like to know if these 2 beads 19 and 29mm should be considered Chung Dzi as they are different the my other stripped Chung beads

Better pictures coming tomorrow. Sorry for the poor quality

Please all comments welcome

thanks in advance

The spelling of Tibetan words in English is often misunderstood.

The "d" is not necessary, and is actually a modern substitute for "g." This introductory letter is never capitalized, unless other letters are capitalized. Thus:

gzi gZi GZI..., dzi dZi DZI..., zi. Zi ZI.

There is no such rendering as "Dzi." This is a mistake.

I have to suspect that your chung zi are derived from pieces of broken beads that have been recut. I would include your diagonal-striped bead as well.

JDA.

Hello again

I respect your knowledge. I am still in a learning mode at almost 70 years old.

I stand corrected. Thanks you

I can see where the short fat bead could be cut down clearly.

Can you please explain how the beads with diagonal lines were cut down??

sincerely from Walter

I would have to see this bead IRL. I am guessing based on the pattern, and that this looks like what we would see on 1/2 of a chung zi. JDA.
