Does anyone recognize the yellow-orange molded beads?

I don't own these so I can't show the holes. Size is about 6 mm diameter.

I do not recognize these molded beads. But, they appear to be fairly recent. J.

we have handled beads of similar sizes in similar uneven orange and other coloured glass with very rough moulded shapes- they are lamp wound but then pushed into a mould- though the extra flow of glass at the mould seams hasn't been ground away. i bet they have white powder in the holes and are Indian products from 1970s?
are they strung as Hindu prayer beads/malas?

The seller says the strand is vintage Native American and strung with a few old hand made silver beads. Since I don’t know much about NA necklace design it’s possible. There are five courses of 14 beads separated by the silver ones, then each end section has 27 beads. Probably not a mala, right?

Nowadays things that are 20 years old are called vintage so it’s hard to tell the era.

I’d never seen the orange beads and was very curious. The seams sticking out indicated to me that they were not very carefully made, so India sounds about right.

I know about Native American designs—so I'd say it's not possible.

This is just a strand of beads someone put together, in the '70s or later. The fact that they encountered and used some North American Indian silver beads along with some pressed glass beads from India, does not "a vintage Indian necklace" make. As naming goes, this is a great example of the irony of something being "Indian."

The seller is hopeful but deluded. JDA.
