the handsome decorated glass beads loop consists entirely of recent beads made in Java, the "etched" stone beads are also clearly all recent but were not sold at high collectors prices... i didn't expect i'd find such fun bits and pieces-

The Indonesians are making some very, very nice beads these days

In about 100 years they will likely be a feature of every serious bead collection!

This strand is listed for $15 on eBay. You can see the Venetian influence in many of the designs.

Can't find it and I like it! :^)

Paid $20 and $25 for these. Up close it is easy to tell the difference between these and Venetian made beads, but these are very well made.
