Thank you for the good wishes, Stefany, we are all shocked and saddened by the Butte county fire; there just are not words...quotes from this morning's updates:

"The death toll from the Camp Fire increased to 71 on Friday, as investigators continued to scour the charred wreckage of the community of Paradise and the surrounding area. Many people had only minutes to flee the explosive blaze when it ignited in early morning hours of Nov. 8. The community was said to be "wiped out" by the fire.

Officials said the number of people missing had grown to over 1,000.

The blaze has currently charred 148,000 acres and is 55 percent contained.

12000 structures destroyed."

Yesterday San Francisco shut down cable car service due to the unsafe air quality. This is a first. The smoke lingers hundreds of miles from the fire. Schools all over were closed for a number of days.

Our gratitude to our first responders, many from other states and possibly from other countries, doing all they can to help, working 24 hour shifts.

Finally some relief from the dry, windy conditions! Some good downpours are holding the existing fire lines from expanding, and many of the firefighters are finally packing up and heading home. More storm fronts on the way for the next few weeks so it looks like "fire season" is finally over for this year.

Air quality has returned to "Good" status for the immediate areas surrounding the Bay, with "Moderate" status just to the East.
