Probably Venetian—but the photos are too fuzzy to be confident.

Thank Jamey. They look Venetian to me. The designs are somewhat sloppy and I felt the beads may have been made by an apprentice who had not yet mastered the beadmaking craft.

Florence

or they might be the Turkish type of furnace-wound protective eye beads?

Hi Stefany,
Thank you for the input. When I viewed the beads through a high-powered LED flashlight, I did not see residue inside the beads. The black glass inside was shiny like the outside. The holes are pretty straight end to end.
Best,
Florence

..., these appear to be lampworked in the Venetian style; and not resulting from furnace-work. Nevertheless, they could have been made by any industry that produces Venetian-inspired beads. Javanese beads would have to be considered. What is unexpected is the multi-colored (?) bits inside the white spirals. Since I cannot see these clearly, they are just "there" and do not contribute to understanding. J.

We like to think of Venetian beads as well made, with precision. However, with the amount of production that was going on, some were simply better made than others.
To me, they look like sloppy Venetian beads. And someone added the colored bits in there as an experiment?
